Our Story

From 1951 to a Modern Steel Pipe Manufacturer in India

SRMB Realfabrica is the structural hollow section brand of SRMB Srijan Private Limited, a steel pipe manufacturer in India with roots going back to 1951. Unlike many steel pipe suppliers and steel tube distributors who buy finished coil from the open market and simply form it into tube, SRMB converts raw iron ore into billets, rolls those billets into coil, and forms that coil into finished hollow sections, all within one integrated plant. That distinction is what separates a primary steel producer from a trader, and it's the foundation of everything else on this page.

The company's history begins with founder Late Radha Kishorji Beriwala, who laid the foundation of the SRMB group in 1951. What started as a modest steel business in eastern India has, over seven decades, grown into one of the region's more established steel manufacturing groups, expanding from basic steel products into TMT bars, structural steel, home fabrication solutions, and now, structural hollow sections under the SRMB Realfabrica brand.

What Makes SRMB a Primary Steel Producer

In India, the Joint Plant Committee under the Ministry of Steel classifies manufacturers as Primary Steel Producers only when they convert raw iron ore into finished steel themselves. SRMB holds this classification, a status that most steel pipe companies, steel tube traders, and re-rolling units in India do not hold.

Iron Ore to Billets
Iron ore is converted into steel billets on site: this is the step that makes SRMB a primary producer rather than a re-roller.
Billets to HR Coil
Billets are rolled into hot-rolled (HR) coil conforming to IS 10748, which controls the chemistry that determines the strength and weldability of the finished product.
Coil to Hollow Sections
HR coil is formed into structural hollow sections on Cold-Formed ERW (CF ERW) lines, producing the square, rectangular, and circular sections sold under the SRMB Realfabrica brand.
Batch-Level Testing
Every batch is tested on a Digital Universal Testing Machine and a Spectrometer before it leaves the plant, checking mechanical strength and chemical composition against IS code requirements.
